Legacy Donations
Legacy Donations

Once you have considered your friends and family please consider leaving a life-changing gift to Limbcare. Leaving a charity donation within your will is known as legacy giving or leaving a legacy gift. Legacy giving accounts for a considerable percentage of the income of many charities in Britain.

By leaving a legacy gift to Limbcare you could be making an enormous difference to the lives of others and helping us ensure the services we offer the Limb-loss community continue.

If you plan to remember Limbcare in your will you should seek the advice of a solicitor or other professional advisor. If you already have a will, it is easy to change it. Any solicitor will be pleased to help you and advise how much (if anything) it will cost.

What is a legacy?
A legacy is simply a gift pledged to an individual or organization made under a Will. It comes into effect only after your lifetime. A pecuniary legacy is a gift of a specific sum. Specific legacies can amount to property, shares, jewellery or other items of worth such as works of art. A residual legacy is the balance of your estate in whole or part after expenses and any other deductions have been made.

How do I leave a legacy to Limbcare?
If you already have a will, it can be changed at any time during your life to reflect your changing priorities. To include Limbcare as one of your beneficiaries, you will need to complete a legal document known as a Codicil Form, listing any amendments you may wish to make to your will.

Do I have to be rich to leave a legacy gift to Limbcare?
Limbcare is a registered charity that receives no government funding. We will always be enormously grateful for any amount people choose to leave us, no matter how small. It really is a case of every penny counts. Without the generosity shown by anyone who has ever made a Limbcare donation we would be totally unable to continue with our important work.
